Hello Dear Friends,

How are you?

Today, I am having trouble choosing which stories to write about.

Sure, there are plenty of big stories in the news– the Indianapolis shooting, Biden playing hardball with Russia, the move to expand the Supreme Court, the advancement of potential reparations legislation…

But I am struggling to find articles that might actually impact your immediate day-to-day lives.

Read on for a few curiosities, and also for the link to my personal blog. Like this newsletter, I’m not at the point of wanting to publicize my blog yet, but I figured I’d share the link with you beautiful people.

Follow me on social media, and I’ll follow you back or interact. See you soon!

Sending love,
Kim B.

TODAY’S TOP STORIES

In Case of Bad Trip, Save This Number

Psychedelics are being decriminalized around the country, and increasing in popularity around the world.

Now, a San Francisco-based company is hoping to help people who may be having bad trips.

As of April 14, users can now call the Fireside Project’s Psychedelic Peer Support Line.

According to Mic.com, on the line, “peer volunteers will provide free, confidential support not only to people having their own psychedelic experiences — even lovely, not-scary ones, according to the nonprofit’s website — but those trip-sitting for someone else.” (Source.)

Can Twitch Transform Live Entertainment?

With concerts and music festivals canceled around the world, renowned DJs are turning to Twitch in order to stay engaged with their fans.

According to Vice.com artists like the DJ duo Soul Clap, are getting paid to create content for the video streaming service. Twitch pays for some content, while a lot of the content is provided for free by the artists. (Source.)

Have you streamed any concerts or music content on Twitch? Do you use Twitch in other ways?

Can You Handle The Tea?

Hey friends. I don’t share this with many people, but I’ve been working on a personal blog on and off for the last year or so.
